With reference to the claim made by the

Relatives of the Chinese Seaman, Cheung Kwai Wan, who

lost his life as a result of the sinking of the above steamer on the 21st June, 1938, we are advised by

the Under Secretary of State, The Colonial Office,

Downing Street, LONDON, S.W.1., that the sum of £25

will be accepted in settlement.

We, therefore, enclose

our cheque for £25 and shall be obliged if you will

kindly acknowledge receipt.
